Editing of entries

The editing feature allows the user to add new entries to the database or edit existing data (meanings, readings or new entries). In order to start the edit feature, click the   button in the main KanjiQuick program window.

In the  Edit Database  module, first type in the top-left  Entry input box  the kanji or jukugo you want to add. In the same way, when you wish to edit existing data, you must first paste or enter the kanji or jukugo. If a jukugo is displayed in the KanjiQuick  Jukugo display box , it will be copied automatically to the  Entry input box  when you open the  Edit Database  module.

After you have typed characters in the  Entry input box , click the   button of the  Edit Database  module. You may then add meanings and readings (in both rômaji and kana) or edit the information displayed. The maximum number of characters is 250 that you can enter in each input box,  meanings ,  rômaji  and  kana  readings. There are seven pages for different meanings and readings which will be displayed as numbered lines in the  KanjiQuick  main program  Japanese readings  and  meanings display boxes .

You may cancel editing by clicking the   button; delete a user-edited entry by clicking the   button; or restore the original data in the database by clicking the   button located in the upper-right corner.
